Catching Dreams
Making an over sized dream catcher to use as a prop in our Chasing Rainbows Catching Dreams collection came to me when I was at the dollar store and spotted mini hula hoops, like for kids! I instantly decided this was the main feature in the shoot and started creating a storyline. It needed to be colorful, and magical, and the model was going to find it in an alley and fall in love with it. As usual, my Divine Spirit Sisters were all over it, and were inspired to create their own. They came with their amazing flare for color and balance and with lots of enthusiasm for this afternoon of art, that has become a weekly date between us! We wrapped the hoops with twine, silk rags and sprayed one white. We added feathers, ribbons, beads, pompoms, sparkly yarns, shells, flowers, crystals and butterflies. We used the colorful dream catcher in the shoot, and it's now retired to my dressing room, but reminds me everyday of the mantra we hold dear...let the beauty we love be what we do.
Sooooo cute! Love this new look for a dream catcher!!!
