Mercato Moment: Sweet Sophia

I met my youngest shopper ever at the Mercato.  She's three and named Sophia.

After carefully and thoughtfully mulling over her options, she decided on the little owl charm.

So we wrapped it around her wrist on an apple green silk ribbon and she set off happy and proud.

You never know who you will meet at the mercato!

Party Perks

One of our favorite past times is getting together with friends. We love having dinner parties, barbecues, and most importantly, getting in some good ol' fashioned girl time.

If you're in need of nurturing your friendships, or just need an excuse to have a little party, check out our new Happy Hostess incentives for a fun idea.

Happy Hostesses also get their choice of our best selling Celebration Necklace, one of the most exciting perks of all! This is the time of year when a great party can offer your friends some stress free holiday shopping. And as always, we even provide the invites!

Ready to host a party?  Contact us for more details, or share with your friends on facebook!

In the Studio: Artful Copper

Working away on a new Copper Wire Collection. There is something about just using your hands and a pair of pliers to shape and form and twist and curl...getting back to our wire sculpting roots! We love this.

The inspiration piece was this all-wire pendant below that we had a hard time naming!  What does it look like to you?  We called it "Copper Fringed Pendant".

A new love bracelet is on the table...well actually it is on my wrist right now.  I'm getting a feel for how it wears.  So far, pretty comfortable and it's staying in place too!

We added some of our new stones into the mix...this one is an "Agate Pendant".

And a new "Love Necklace" too, with a heart shaped stone.

The little pendant collection we ended up with looks pretty good.  But for now, these are all one-of-a-kind, so go online NOW and check it out!

We're gonna keep working on the bracelets...some bangles perhaps?

Happiness Hour

"At the end of this life, chances are that you will not be ruminating upon the careers, degrees or amount of money in your bank account. You'll be remembering the cherished memories and the relationships that made those possible. Every day is a new chance to notice, honor and savor the little things in life: an amazing conversation, the beauty of nature, a chocolate cake that took you over the edge, or the smile of a child. The more you notice the reasons to celebrate, the more they will show up in your life."

A friend sent me a link to a great article her sister wrote on happiness, quoted above. Read the whole article here, and think about some of the things that make YOU happy. It inspired me to think about some of the little happy things in my own life too.

My husband and I often sit out front of the house on our pretty green lawn and have fun with the dog and the kids on the street. With no children of our own, we have more free time than most people, so this is what we do!

Meet Melissa.  She does handsprings, cartwheels, and backbends while her brother is off climbing the closest tree or playing catch with Patrick.

And this is Lily, who some of you may know. She is going blind and we just discovered that she can still fetch the tennis ball if we hit it with a racket.  She hears the sound it makes hitting the strings and runs after it!

We have a  hibiscus bush that the birds hide in when they're not in the bird bath and we love to watch.....

Celebrate the little things in life.

Seaside Garden

Yesterday I took a break from jewelry and rode my bike down to this "delightful little patch of earth", as my sister so sweetly describes it. Zinnias, corn, huge sunflowers, pumpkins and palm trees! It's beginning to look a little like fall around this pretty beach town. I am so thankful to live here, so close to this natural beauty. ENJOY!

Mercato Moment: Italy Bound

Last Saturday Little Italy was packed with mercato shoppers, some local and some just visiting. But what made our day was this beautiful Italian couple who happened across our path.

I mean, it doesn't get much more authentic in Little Italy now does it? They didn't speak much english, but she managed to buy some wrist wraps, which happily went on right away.

Now Lily Girl can say we went to Italy, too!

White Sale

Well you know how the saying goes, "Don't wear white after Labor Day". But I'm going to let you in on a little secret. White is amazing for the holidays.

So we've put together a little sale of some great jewelry, just for you. One of our favorites is this adjustable length necklace made with white jade stone and a gold plated circle.

There's only one left of each sale item... so don't ponder too long! To see everything on sale, click here.

Natural Stone Season

These stones remind us of some river rocks found by our cousin in Montana.  They are smooth and unique in shape.  But guess what else is special about them? They are actually petrified wood!  The Greek root petro means "rock" or "stone", literally "wood turned into stone".

So we had to purchase these amazing natural stones and are really excited to work with them.

Shown below are the purples/plums/teals/olives that we are calling our Peacock Collection.  Fancy Jasper is known to intensify and lighten the feeling of well-being.  African Jade is considered a gemstone of general healing and for improving relaxation. Malachite creates calm and peace, and aids one's sleep.

Oh yes, all the stones have general healing properties! Which one are you in need of?

The rich earthy tones of Leopard Skin Agate and Bronzite will be seen throughout our upcoming fall collection.

But this teardrop pendant Chrysocolla could be our favorite! This is considered "the wise stone".

It's going to be a good season...
